Sometimes the greatest things in life are those that unexpectedly blend well together, creating a new taste or a new look. We love that America is a melting pot that is constantly adding ethnicities and cultures.
Lo and behold, the beauty of incorporating the best parts of all the cultures of America can be found in weddings.
Mixed culture weddings are fab-u-lous. They fuse together the best parts of a couple’s cultures, the things that make their families proud and the details that fascinate the rest of us.
SSP has had the good fortune of photographing quite a few of these “fusion” weddings. We’ve grown an appreciation for the loving couples that want to share their backgrounds with their new families. It’s a little glimpse of what the couple’s life as its own family will look like, and it’s not only charming and interesting, but a whole lotta fun.
These weddings highlight the all encompassing love that two individuals have for one another. It also shows that a couple who can appreciate and respect one another’s backgrounds will most likely be able to respect one another throughout the marriage. Adding a few unexpected ingredients to a wedding melting pot often produces quite the treat.
