Things You Might Not Yet Know About Babies | Practice Forex Account

Early childhood development is an amazing subject. Learning about the way a baby goes from his infancy to manhood will astound you. There is more to being a baby than is immediately discernable. Babies are far more complex than people think. They have their own sets of wants and needs that must be met to ensure that they develop properly. There is nothing simple about infancy and early childhood. The more you understand about child development the better parent you will be!

Did you know that babies are born with three hundred bones in their bodies? Fully grown adults only have two hundred and six bones in their bodies. You do not lose any bones as you grow up; the reason an adult has fewer bones than a baby is because as the baby grows some of his bones fuse together. Many adults believe that it is the fusing of the bones that causes them to lose their flexibility-they believe that the individual bones gave them better ranges of motions. When you see how easily babies can move and compare it to your own physical limitations this might be a plausible theory for you.

Some babies already have teeth when they are born-did you know that already? Other kids don’t start getting their teeth in until they are between a year and eighteen months old.

A baby’s first teeth are momentous and dreaded by many parents. There is no reason to fret if your child starts teething earlier or later than his peers. All babies develop at their own paces and even if your other children started teething at a certain age, there is no guarantee that this baby will do the same.

Most people believe that babies do not know how to smile before they are born. Smiling is often attributed to gas or the baby’s having to go to the bathroom-at least until it reaches a few weeks in age. For a long time it was common thought that smiling was a learned behavior-something that the baby learned from his or her parents over the first few weeks of life. Common thought said that learning how to express happiness was harder for babies than learning how to express displeasure (which is usually done through crying). These theories have been mostly disproved. Advances have been made in ultrasound technology and more parents are seeing images of their children smiling while they are still in utero. Many families have been given ultrasound pictures of their smiling children weeks before they are due to be born. Some scientists now believe that the reason babies take so long to “learn” to smile is because the birthing process is so traumatic for them. There are new discoveries being made constantly about babies and infant development. What scientists believe as fact today could be proven false tomorrow! Are you really surprised by how confusion most people find infancy since you now know how rapidly new discoveries are being made? Staying current with the trends can be easy if you don’t mind doing a little bit of homework. Infancy is more complex than people think. They are complex creatures with specific needs and wants. It is important that you learn how to communicate with your baby. Understanding the different stages of development is very important. The best parents are those who understand what is going on with their kids.
